At our Lula location (4336 Cornelia HWY Lula, GA 30554) we are hosting our first ever
Traeger 1st Responders Cook-off!
We are having 7 First Responders teams cooking off against one another for first place. It’ll be an even playing field with all teams using a Pro 780 Traeger grill to cook, but it is up to our teams to figure out the spice and flavor combination to launch them to the front.
Don’t worry, our Lula store will be open as usual. We are just having a little extra happening at the store for our event day.
Although the competitors' BBQ isn’t for the public – they’ve got to save their pieces for the judges –, Howard Brothers along with representatives from Traeger will be cooking out on our own grills for everyone who comes by! We’re handing out delicious food samples straight off the grills. And if you’ve never had food cooked on a Traeger before, get ready to enjoy some of the good stuff!
Bring the family on down to the store that day too! There will be family fun happening the whole time during the competition. We are going to have a couple of bounce houses for the kids to play in. Chat with the teams who are cooking. Come see fire trucks and police vehicles that our brave responders use. Enjoy some food while you are walking around the store. And listen to a live radio station playing and tuning in to the cook-off. There might even be some Ventrac Tractors out on the grass making an appearance to look at and ask questions about.
If you want to head down for the grand reveal of the winners, our competitors are turning in food at 1pm and winners will be announced at 1:30pm on cook-off day. After the competition, if there are any Pro 780s used in the cook-off that were not purchased by the teams, we will be having them available for purchase. They’ll be at a super deal for you! And think about the story you’ll be able to share and remember while using your own Traeger grill. A grill used by a local First Responders team in a grilling competition!
